The design for this residence had to meet the clients requirements and to comply with Design Guidelines set up by the developer to assist in retaining the character of the overall development.
Good working relationships between all parties resulted in a classical design that sits perfectly on its section at the south end of the development. The U shaped plan has glazed circulation routes around a space established to house a Japanese garden.
A modern staircase in a glazed surround provides a balance to the building form. The building has a solidity due to its external wall thickness and use of an aerated concrete cladding system along with areas clad in stone.
